Sam Lutfi Claims Brittney Spears Shaved Her Head to Avoid Drug Testing in Child Custody Battle

– Earlier this month Brittney Spears' former friend Sam Lutfi testified in court that Brittney Spears shaved her head in 2007 because she was afraid it could be tested for drugs. Lutfi said that Spears was afraid the results could be used against her by her ex-husband Kevin Federline in their child custody battle.

Under California law, the court could not have forced Spears to submit to a hair follicle test, absent her agreement. Wouldn't someone ask their attorney what type of drug testing a court could order or otherwise do their research, shaving their head? Spears most certainly had competent legal representation and members of her "entourage" who could have found investigated this issue for her? While anything is possible, the dots are not connecting for me with regard to Lutfi's allegations.

In any event, Sam Lutfi, Spears former friend and confidant, is suing Brittney Spears for a piece of her 2007 and 2008 earnings; claiming to have been her manager during that time, he testified before a Los Angeles jury in a civil trial against Spears and her parents that he met Spears at a nightclub in the middle of a meltdown that had impacted her career and personal life.

According to Lutfi, he took steps to control the paparazzi photographers that were following Spears day and night. He told the jury that she was dealing with a lot of anxiety with the way that they followed her everywhere.

Lutfi told the jury about Spears' personal account of the highly publicized 2007 incident where she had her long hair shaved off in a Los Angeles area beauty salon. He told the jury that Brittney was in a wicked child custody battle and that someone had told her that her hair could be scientifically tested for a history of drug use, and that's the reason why she chose to shave it off.

Lutfi testified that he met Spears at a nightclub in 2007 after she asked to have his hat. Because he was self-conscious about his balding head, he told her no. She supposedly told him that it was refreshing to be told no since she wasn't told no very often. The pair began talking and hit it off; they exchanged phone numbers and emails and became quick friends. He testified that Brittney had confided in him about her drug problems and her divorce from Kevin Federline.

Lutfi moved into Spears' home in 2007; however, her attorneys argue that he was never her manager. Lutfi is seeking 15 percent of Spears' earnings over a period spanning over several months in 2007 and 2007. According to Spears' attorneys, during that time she had earned from $800,000 to $1,000,000 per a month.

Despite the personal issues that Spears allegedly suffered from 2007 to 2008, today she is a judge on the TV show "The X Factor" and she has been touring all over the world, wowing audiences with her talent once more.

Child custody battles can affect all parents, even the rich and famous. Attorney Mark B. Baer has been handling divorce and family law issues in Pasadena, California and the surrounding areas since 1991, over which time he has personally dealt with every type of child custody battle imaginable. Whether the divorce was contested and the disputes centered over child custody, or whether domestic violence was a factor, or if his client was seeking a modification because the custodial parent developed an illness, or a drug or alcohol addiction, he has seen and heard it all.
